Despite feeling quite nervous, I really enjoyed the sound recording because I haven’t done it before. Although I was quite nervous, I persevered and enjoyed the challenge.  It was quite hard to always get the timing right but it was great fun!

While we were recording the soundtrack I felt quite nervous because I thought I may forget what to say.  Also, it’s quite strange speaking with people recording you.  I can’t wait to hear it! 
 

​Murdoch House was a great experience because it was the real house where William Murdoch lived when he lived in Cornwall. We learnt what it was like to live in the olden days and learnt about his amazing invention of making gas light by burning coal.

​I enjoyed visiting Murdoch House because it felt quite unusual to be able to go into the home of someone who we are learning about and who lived hundreds of years ago.

​After making the beeswax candles and tallow candles, that night I did my homework by candlelight.  I was quite excited and it felt great even though it was quite hard to see.  I imagined that I was living at the time of William Murdoch before he invented gas light. Although there were some shadows, there was quite a bit of light. However, it was quite hard to see.  I imagine it would have been quite difficult. I felt so proud that I did it and it was an amazing experience!
