The Sound Signatures film screening is the result of an open call for films with an analogue component, where sound takes a lead. The artist films are responses to outdoor sound encounters or foreground sonic events and sound impulses. This screening is an opportunity to bring together artists whose filmmaking practice challenges the conventional hierarchies between sound and moving image and with the aim to open an exchange around new modes of listening and different approaches to moving image practice.
